DESCRIPTION:
Austrian, floor standing 2nd Baroque style Vienna regulator, 8 day, time and Grande Sonnerie strike, three engraved brass weight driven movement with fancy engraved brass pendulum bob in an ornately carved walnut case with silvered brass round dial, w/ engraved dial center, c1875
CONDITION:
the case appears to retain its original finish with a minor chip to the left side base molding and a minor indentation on molding below door. The movement appears to be recently serviced with a replaced seat board For a similar example, but not as fancy, please see Victor Kochaver's "Beautiful Vienna Regulators of the 19th Century", pg. 136.
